Debate and Poll: Who Will Win The Premiership
The vote is in for Football To You's "Who Will The Championship?" poll and the results can be seen on the homepage but now it is time for the big one. Who will win the Premiership? Thinking logically there can only really be 4 competitors. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and current holders Manchester United. Picking between these four is going to be a difficult choice this year with Manchester United likely to be strong contenders having managed to retain top goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo during the summer. Chelsea pushed the Red Devils close last season and in my opinion are likely to do the same again this season. If they can complete the signing of Robinho from Real Madrid that has been widely reported then their odds are likely to be cut. In my opinion these two clubs are the main contenders but then there are the other two of the big four. Arsenal have lost several players in the summer including Aliaksander Hleb and Gilberto Silva but have strengthened with the likes of Samir Nasri. Arsene Wenger always manages to get the best out of his team and if players like Fabregas and Adebayor can stay injury free then they will be there or thereabouts. Then of course there is Liverpool, the perenial under-achievers in terms of domestic success but this could be their season, Torres is likely to be amongst the top goalscorers and if his partnership with proven goalscorer Robbie Keane kicks off who knows how many goals they can score. Driven on by skipper Steven Gerrard Liverpool should definately not be discounted. So there you have it 4 likely competeters but maybe Tottenham can break into that top 4 this season or even mount a title challenge. What do you think? Remember to vote in the poll or leave a comment to voice your opinion.

United or Chelsea will once more be the favourites but I think Tottenham could mount a serious challenge to join the Top 4 at the expense of either Liverpool or Arsenal.
yeah right, it will be the usual top 3 with liverpool again falling short. Tottenham will be in same position they have been in the last 10 years. Overhyped and overpayed.
I cannot believe the early lead that Spurs have taken, a few signings sure but win the league? I don't think so.
guys come on lets be sensible here in the past Man Utd have won the premiership 10 times according to my reliable source. They have only been getting better and better. Yeh liverpool have Torres and Keane but so what 2 players don't do everything. Tottenham may possibly push for the title spot but as always Man Utd will come out on top. Man Utd will win the Premiership this year.
Its going to be arsenal, we threw it away last season due to abnormal injuries and bad refs!! No way are spurs going to win it. Maybe if Ledley King had 2 Knees, but as he only has one, u have no chance in hell making the top 4! Spurs are pants and always will be. best hope is the Kiddy cup!!
Spurs might only n doesnt matter if not, But I SERIOUSLY HOPE & PRAY that those 4 will fall out of the race. YES!!!!
Tight between Manure and Chelski, third will be tight between Ar5ena1, Liverfool and the mighty Spurs
Man Utd - possibly, Chelsea - possibly, Arsenal - no chance, Liverpool - only got a couple of players and will be knackered if they get injured, not a cat in hells chance, Tottenham - definitely/maybe COYS!!!!
I can tell you guys dont know football. Look Chelsea fc have diverse talents and a manager who can find the best of combinations from those talents. Tottenham have to proof themselves in the FA Cup first before they could challenge the best teams. I dont even think Tottenham will end up in the top 4 of England! I have been analysing soccer for the past 10 years now and I still think that Chelsea and Man United will be competing for the next 5 years or so.
Liverpool - No way they can leave Manu reach them with the 19th title. They were just playing. Now that they are so close they're going to run with it again.
Arsenal and liverpool need some kind of Spiritual intervention to win any trophy for the next 5 seasons! Tottenham should try to beat Portsmouth in their away matches before considering beating the mighty chelsea and the self proclaimed best team "Man United". Chelsea and Man United will rule England for the next 5 years and Europe the next 6 years. Aston Villa played well against Chelsea last season but those days are now memories. Lets not assume thing as based on paper but when the battle is on as from next week (17th August) Go Deco, Lampard, Obi, Essien, Drogba, Terry, Carvalho, Robinho, Anelka, Cech, A and J Cole, SWP, Malauda, Abromovich, Kenyon, Big Phil, Ballack, Bosingwa, Ferreira, Allex, Ivanovich, Bridge etc
Top 2 are miles ahead. Probably Man U to win but Chelsea will run them close (Scolari will need a season). Of the rest Aersenal have fallen back and Liverpool are just a good side both likely to chalenging 3/4/5 spots with Spurs.
It has to be Man U with Chelsea 2nd. But Spurs could be a "surprise" at 3rd and could be one for the future. Lets hope so the top 4 need shaking up.
Arsenal because we were cheated last season by bad officials and we now know not to lose concentration. i think it will be 1.Arsenal 2. Chelsea

Would love to see a someone other than ManU or Chavski win.
Spurs have as much chance of winning the league as Arsenal, ie none. They weren't good enough last year and now have a weaker squad. But they should both be interesting to watch, unlike Chavski and Liverpool.
Wouldn't it be wondeful to see Hull win. But I fear the top 2 will remain the top 2. Villa, Everton, Spurs may break into the 3/4 positions, but probably Liverppol 3rd and Arsenal 4th.
I wonder if Man City might get off to a good start again.

Man U won it last year, they won't be as hungry (plus half their team is injured atm). Chelsea have a manager who has never managed in a developed country (but they'll still come 2nd, like last year, and maybe win the CL. Liverpool signings have been far too obvious (Keane, Barry?? both captains, there will be ego issues, keane waving his arms will vex alot of people) and the scum have that pending paedophilia court case. It has to be Tottenham, pure and simple every time.

My husband has only been intersted in soccer since they stopped televising the NFL.
His 'analysing'is usually from his armchair swigging beer while I do all the work. He has never seen a game in his life,so doesn't realise what a nasty bunch of racists they are at Stamford Bridge.
He knows as much about football as he does about DIY, washing up and ironing, lazy git!

Chelsea will win it, manure second and everyone else nowhere naer the top 2, face facts thats how it will be, loserbore will never win a prem under the fat one and the Arse will blow hot and cold as usual
no one one knows. I say it every year it is a three horse race since abramovich came on the scene.
why it is called a top four I don't know. No disrespect to Liverpool and it woud be great if they could change the balance but it is simply going to be one of the other three. the rest will fall well short. ManU are v experienced but here maybe less hunger this year. Chelsea and Scolari have something to prove and are very strong. Arsenal are getting more experienced and closer year on year and will have the most desire. Whoever wins will be worthy of it for sure.

Tottenham is completely out of it. I will see Hull city get the title before Tottenham.

lets be serious yh, last season chelsea took man united to the end, in the league and europe. in the league, chelsea did not have a proper manager, they played half the season with their reserves and without the big names, due to injury, african cup etc and cud of still won both cups. stamford bridge has become a fortress which even ended our semi final curse against liverpool. this season coming up we have improved our sqaud alot, bosingwa cuming in to feel the void at right back which has troubled us for years, and deco, althougth 30 still one of the best at his posistion, i watched him carve open milan preseason, despite it being a weaked side without kaka and ronaldinho, they still had the defensive live of pirlo gattuso and flamini as a few names. man united, they have not improved, for once, ronaldo will be no were near what he was last season, secondly they have the injury problems we suffered last year, people say we had the easiest run in the CL last year but i beg to differ united had roma - who they always beat - easily and i would of taken that weakended barca side over liverpool any season. we dominated the final - ignore the first half hour and deserved to win overall, we was a penalty away from winning so how can man united say there the best team in the world, chelsea should of done the double last season - and we didnt have a full strength side like man united did everygame. but in hindsight 50 years from now you look back to see the first manager to win the CL you dont want it to be avram grant - so i supose it was a good thing, but be serious, even man united fans i know are admiting chelsea will walk europe and the premiership this year - with incredible ease, and these are the type of glory-hunting, incredibley biased fans you find in london, the type who wudnt be able to point manchester out on a map.
fact chelsea have no class that whole list of excuses u wrote above means nothin to me or anyone else chelsea r a joke plain and simple if it wasnt for red rom they would be in mid table where they belong and as far as glory hunting goes was u a chelsea fan before there money ???prob not although your knowledge on football seems limited so u might be a true chelsea fan after all
dear wrighters first of all sory for my english becouse i am an albanian "gunner",second listen carefely-u all here sed about man united or totenham or some of chelsea suporters wrote here about they injures players end so so...
listen here,u all know that arsenal where very close to win last seasen but they really have had(not chealsea)a big injures of kay players like RVP,rosiscky, and the others sometimes..than u all know what hapened to eduardo, after that game arsenal wos playing agains not their rivals but even refres, just to remind u look at the match birmingham vs arsenal(wosnt a penalty)arsenal vs boro(the adebayor gol-offside by refery, than from an offside position gol from boro)chelsea vs arsenal(all u chealsea fans just to be known to u that one of drogbas gol wos from an offside position)man u vs arsenal (there wos no even nearly a faul from gilberto)-------after all of these things arsenal wos 4 points behinde the leaders-so why u just cant take it easy-arsenal is going to be champions this seasen.

will probably be man u - especially if berba leaves the spuds
Having said that winning 3 in a rom is never easy.
Chelsea - as a much as a hate there glory hunting supporters and their strategy of 'buying success' they could mount a serious challenge
arsenal - a weak defence but wenger will probably pull out some amazing defender. Arsenal will definitely finish top 3 and a good chance of winning it
liverpool - is robbie keane and gareth barry going to win them the league - i dont think so
tottenham - could go close to liverpool but i think it will take too long for their 'self procalimed superstars' to gel as a team
