Five More Years
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has put an end to the speculation linking him with a move away from Stamford Bridge by signing a new 5 year deal at current employers Chelsea. Rumours have been circulating all summer about a possible move from Lampard to Inter Milan where he would have linked up with former Chelsea favourite turned Inter boss Jose Mourinho. Lampard's new deal will keep him at the club until 2013 and will most likely mean that the midfielder, who joined Chelsea from West Ham for £11m in 2001, will play for Chelsea for the rest of his career. The news will come as a boost to new Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari as he looks to challenge Man Utd for the Premiership crown this season. Lampard has scored 74 goals in 247 appearances. You can discuss this story or anything else football related by visting the new Footballtoyou forum by following the link on the right hand side or the one above!
