It was feared that Kenwyne Jones would miss a hefty chunk of the season at the Stadium of Light but the Sunderland hitman received a dose of good news after exploratory knee surgery revealed that the injury he suffered after a clash with David James is not as bad as first expected. The Black Cats forward has been linked with a host of top clubs including Liverpool and Chelsea and recieved high praise of Chelsea skipper John Terry who described him as being "the best in the air in the entire Premier League". With praise like that it is no wonder that Sunderland fans will be happy to see Kenwyne returning earlier than anticipated and with a host of other signings including Diouf, Malbranque and Chimbonda who knows what Sunderland can achive this season under the guidance of Roy Keane.
