Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon today appeared to accept defeat in the signing of Crisitano Ronaldo from Manchester United during the unveiling of Rafael van der Vaart. The eternal trouble making president has continuously suggested that the portuguese winger is set to quit Old trafford to link up with the Spanish giants but Calderon stated whilst presenting Real's new Dutch signing at the bernabau that "Van der Vaart is the first signing and probably the only one" It would appear that Man Utd fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as it seems that Ronaldo is set to stay in Manchester for at least another season. Many United fans however have become disillusioned with their top goalscorer after he refused to commit to the club and there is much feeling amongst fans that Ronaldo no longer deserves to pull on the red devils strip.
